
Midwest is slightly drier Tuesday. Rains across central and southwestern areas this week will continue to improve moisture and ease stress on corn and soybeans. However, some dryness will likely linger in far northern MO and IA. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in west central areas. Temperatures are cooler in northwestern areas. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in far western areas. Temperatures are warmer in western areas.
-Plains are slightly wetter today and Tuesday. Rains in central areas this week will further improve soil moisture but will slow any remaining winter wheat harvesting. The 6-10 day outlook is wetter in central areas. Temperatures are slightly warmer in southwestern areas. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in central areas. Temperatures are warmer in western areas.
-Northern Plains/Prairies are slightly wetter Tuesday and Wednesday. Showers across the western Prairies this week will further improve moisture for spring wheat. The 6-10 day outlook is wetter in the northern Plains. Temperatures are cooler in the western Prairies. The 11-15 day outlook is unchanged.
-Delta is wetter in northeastern areas in the 6-10 day period. Rains in northern areas this week will continue to replenish moisture and improve crop conditions. The 6-10 day outlook is wetter in northeastern areas. Temperatures are slightly cooler in southern areas. The 11-15 day outlook is wetter in central and southern areas. Temperatures are cooler in southwestern areas.
-No changes for Argentina. A few showers favored southeastern Buenos Aires this past weekend, but little improvement in moisture occurred for wheat. Drier weather should continue across most areas this week. The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged today, and remains dry.
-Brazil is drier in eastern areas in the 6-10 day period. Rains increased across central areas this past weekend, especially Parana, Santa Catarina, and southwestern Sao Paulo. The rains increased wetness concerns once again. Frost remains a concern in Parana, far southern Sao Paulo, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul Tuesday and Wednesday. The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged today.
-No changes for Europe. Continued drier conditions across most areas are allowing moisture supplies to decline, and heat in western areas is also accelerating moisture losses. However, rains in northern France and northern U.K. this week should improve conditions a bit.
-No changes for FSU. Rains will ease dryness a bit in northern Volga Valley, but some dryness will linger in north central Ukraine and northwestern North Caucasus.
-No changes for China. Rains this week should ease dryness a bit in central North China Plain, but dryness will continue in southwestern Yangtze Valley. Also, continued active rains in northwestern North China Plain will maintain some wetness there.
-No changes for Australia. Rains in southeastern Queensland and New South Wales this past weekend improved moisture a bit for wheat, and rains in Western Australia this week should further improve wheat conditions there as well. However, some spotty dryness will linger in central Queensland.
-No changes for India. Rains will remain active across central and northern areas which will maintain favorable crop conditions. Some spotty dryness will linger in southern groundnut areas, accounting for about 10% of the crop.
