Midwest is wetter in central areas in the 6-10 day period. Rains should further improve moisture in far southwestern and north central corn and soybean areas. A few showers are expected in drier areas of northern MO, IA, and northwestern IL, but amounts will likely remain too light to end dryness and crop stress. The 6-10 day outlook is wetter in central areas. Temperatures are slightly warmer in southeastern areas. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in west central areas. Temperatures are cooler
in southeastern areas.
-Plains are slightly wetter Sunday. Active rains across central areas will continue
to improve moisture and ease drought. Some additional harvest delays are expected
in NE, although no major problems are expected since the majority of the harvesting
has been completed. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in southwestern areas.
Temperatures are unchanged. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in northern areas.
Temperatures are cooler in northern areas.
-Northern Plains/Prairies are drier in the 11-15 day period. Showers across the
western Prairies this weekend will further improve moisture for spring wheat.
However, moisture will decline a bit further in the north central Plains as rains
remain limited there. The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged today. The 11-15 day outlook
is drier in all areas. Temperatures are cooler in the northern Plains.
-Delta is slightly drier in northern areas in the 6-10 day period. Rains in central
areas this weekend will continue to replenish moisture and improve crop conditions.
Additional rains will still likely be needed in northern areas, however. The 6-10
day outlook is slightly drier in northern areas. Temperatures are slightly warmer in
all areas. The 11-15 day outlook is slightly drier in central areas. Temperatures
are unchanged.
-Argentina is unchanged today. The continued dry pattern through the weekend will
allow dryness in western wheat areas to expand again, and stress will build further.
The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged today, and is still wet in central and southern
areas. This will begin to replenish moisture for wheat.
-Brazil is unchanged today. Drier weather in central areas through the weekend will
allow wetness there to ease a bit. Frost threats will continue to ease as
temperatures moderate. The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged today.
-No changes for Europe. Rains should continue to ease dryness across central and
northern France, northern Germany, and U.K. However, dryness will build further in
Italy and Hungary, and will begin to develop in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and
Former Yugoslavia.
-No changes for FSU. Some dryness will continue in central Ukraine, northwestern
North Caucasus, and southern Volga Valley, but rains will improve moisture further
in northern Volga Valley.
-No changes for China. Rains in southern North China Plain will improve moisture a
bit for corn and soybeans, but continued active rains in northeastern North China
Plain will maintain some wetness concerns.
-No changes for Australia. Rains in Western Australia over the next few days will
continue to ease dryness and improve moisture for wheat. However, dryness will
increase again in Queensland and far northern New South Wales.
-No changes for India. Rains will remain active across central and northern areas
which will maintain favorable crop conditions, especially for soybeans. Some spotty
dryness will linger in southern groundnut areas, accounting for about 10% of the
crop.
