-Plains are wetter Wednesday and Thursday. Drier weather across west central areas this week will allow moisture shortages to begin to rebuild there. However, drier weather in southeastern areas should allow wetness there to ease a bit. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in northwestern areas. Temperatures are unchanged. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in western and northeastern areas. Temperatures are warmer in central areas.
-Northern Plains/Prairies are drier Thursday. Limited rains in most areas this week will allow spring wheat drydown and early harvesting to progress well. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in the northwestern Plains and central Prairies. Temperatures are unchanged. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in the northeastern Plains. Temperatures are unchanged.
-Delta is drier in southern areas in the 6-10 day period. Drier weather in northern areas is allowing wetness there to ease. Drier weather in central areas is allowing corn drydown to progress well, but moisture is declining for soybeans. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in southern areas. Temperatures are unchanged. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in southern areas. Temperatures are warmer in northwestern areas.
-No changes for Argentina. Showers in Santa Fe and Entre Rios over the next few days should improve moisture a bit for wheat growth. However, dryness will continue in La Pampa, Cordoba, and Buenos Aires. Frost is expected across much of the region later this week through early next week as colder temperatures return. The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged today.
-No changes for Brazil. Rains in southern areas will maintain moisture for wheat. Dryness in northern areas has stressed wheat, but wheat growth will be finishing up in the next few weeks. The 6-10 day outlook is unchanged.
-No changes for Europe. Rains yesterday improved moisture a bit in northeast Italy, northern and southeastern Germany, and Czech Republic. However, dryness continues across Spain, Hungary, Former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania, and southeastern Poland. Little improvement is expected there this week. The dryness is stressing late growth of corn and sunflowers.
-No changes for FSU. Showers in western Ukraine and western Belarus this week will likely be too limited to significantly improve moisture. Rains would be helpful there to improve moisture prior to winter wheat planting.
-No changes for China. A few showers finally returned to east central Yangtze Valley yesterday, and more are on tap for this week. These rains will help to finally improve moisture a bit. More limited rains in Northeast China will ease any wetness concerns there. The 6-10 day outlook still offers some showers in southern North China Plain.
-No changes for Australia. Continued drier weather in northern New South Wales, Queensland, and northern wheat areas of Western Australia will allow moisture shortages and crop stress to build further. Rains are also needed in South Australia, as moisture is becoming a bit short there as well.
-No changes for India. Rains in central areas will maintain moisture for soybean growth. More limited rains in southern areas will allow dryness there to slowly increase again, although no major stress on groundnuts is expected yet.
