Rains in central areas this week will further improve soil moisture, while rains in NE should result in only minor delays to any remaining wheat harvesting. -Northern Plains/Prairies are drier Friday. Showers across the western Prairies this week will further improve moisture for spring wheat. However, moisture will decline a bit in the northwestern Plains as rains remain limited there. The 6-10 day outlook is cooler in northwestern areas. The 11-15 day outlook is wetter in the Plains. Temperatures are cooler in the Plains.
-Delta is drier in central areas in the 6-10 day period. Rains in northern areas this week will continue to replenish moisture and improve crop conditions. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in central areas. Temperatures are unchanged. The 11-15 day outlook is drier in southern areas. Temperatures are cooler in northern areas.
-Argentina is wetter in central and southeastern areas in the 6-10 day period. The continued dry pattern this week will allow dryness in western wheat areas to expand again, and stress will build further. The 6-10 day outlook is wetter in central and southeastern areas.
-Brazil is drier in south central areas in the 6-10 day period. Drier weather in central areas this week will allow wetness there to ease a bit. Frost is occurring this morning in central and southeastern Parana, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul, and additional frost is expected in these areas again Wednesday. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in south central areas.
-No changes for Europe. Rains should increase across central and northern France, northwestern Germany, and U.K. this week which will begin to replenish moisture and improve conditions for summer crops. However, some dryness will continue in southeastern France, Italy, and Hungary.
-No changes for FSU. Rains will ease dryness a bit in northern Volga Valley, but some dryness will linger in north central Ukraine and northwestern North Caucasus.
-No changes for China. Rains continue to erode dryness in central North China Plain, but dryness will continue in southwestern Yangtze Valley. Also, continued active rains in northern North China Plain will maintain some wetness there.
-No changes for Australia. Rains in Western Australia this week will ease dryness and improve moisture for wheat. However, dryness will increase again in south central Queensland and far northern New South Wales.
-No changes for India. Rains will remain active across central and northern areas which will maintain favorable crop conditions, especially for soybeans. Some spotty dryness will linger in southern groundnut areas, accounting for about 10% of the crop.
