Traders and investors are retreating before the opening bell after the debt ceiling talks stalled out in Washington DC. While a U.S. credit default is unlikely to occur it is coming closer to the October 17th, 2013 deadline and that has many investors on edge. House Speaker John Boehner said that he won’t allow a vote on raising the debt ceiling without serious cuts to the budget, meanwhile President Obama has said that the raising of the debt ceiling must happen and is not negotiable.
