Dividend income has become scarcer as languishing government-bond yields spur demand for stocks, according to Sean Darby, Jefferies Group Inc.’s chief global equity strategist. Darby cited the estimated dividend yield on the MSCI All-Country World Index, tracking developed and emerging markets, in a report Thursday. The projected yield closed Thursday at 2.06%, down from an 11-year high of 3.48% in March, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. In July, the yield first fell beneath its 2007 low of 2.17%. Last month, it set a record low, according to Darby.
