More money-related surprises could occur on Friday, August 2. That’s because the money planet Venus is in a tension-filled square with Uranus, the king of the unexpected, exact at 6:00 am. These two planets in conversation create unexpected news that can create unexpected financial moves. In a 90-degree square, market reaction is likely toward the lower/bearish interpretation.

This aspect was 18 hours away from its exact point when the United States announced new tariffs on China that sent markets reeling on Thursday. So, certainly, that could be the unexpected news surrounding this transit, as transit energy builds to a peak at the exact perfection. Be on the lookout for further developments overnight and on Friday that could be equally surprising.

Friday’s reports include:

  • 2:30 am  Switzerland CPI
  • 5:00 am  Eurozone Retail Sales
  • 8:30 am  US Employment Situation
  • 8:30 am  US International Trade
  • 8:30 am  Canada Merchandise Trade
