There really hasn’t been a lot of incremental news in the last few days (Evans Sept taper comments and Obama’s housing speech were more excuses than actual catalysts yesterday) and stocks seem more bored/tired/apathetic than anything else. It seems like every time the S&P slips more than 7 points people accuse the tape of being at some critical inflection point that will bring further losses but for now equities don’t seem like they are doing anything other than taking a temporary breather (something they have done on several occasions over the last several months). Looking at the Wed performance specifically, Asian bourses fell across the board w/Japan leading on the downside.
