After the release of the Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index, which missed big time, markets sold off just a little bit, and have since stalled. Volume is disgustingly low, with a total of 572k minis traded, of which more than 130k came from globex. ES never retested its overnight high of 1695.50, but has made a session low at 1686 even. Currently ES is -1.8 handles at 1688.50. Market is dead yet again, as the low volume ramp has begun. Absolute joke of a market. 10-Year 2.49%.
VIX exploded up over 5%, after touching a low of 12.07, to reach a session high of 13.06. Currently VIX is +3.01% at 12.66. VIX Futures are up fractionally, with August at 14.79.
