How is it already Thursday?
American tennis Star Tenny Sandgren has tested positive twice for COVID but still boarded a flight to Victoria…
Meanwhile, Victorian's have been cleared to return back to the office for the first time in months!
However, we feel that nature of work has changed for ever.
Employees are now aware that they are just as effective working from home and do not see the need in travelling too and from work on a daily basis.
Across markets…
This Afternoon, the Australian sharemarket closed higher for a second session as a 9.7 per cent surge in Afterpay led the tech sector to its best sessions since early November.
The S&P/ASX 200 Index climbed 28.7 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 6715.3 points.
Afterpay shouldered the market's gains as the buy now, pay later juggernaut rallied after US-based BNPL play Affirm Holdings nearly doubled on its debut in New York trading.
Afterpay's best session since August paced gains in the BNPL sector, with sezzle climbing 7.5 per cent and Zip adding 5 per cent.
Pro Medicus soared 15 per cent after the medical imaging group inked a seven-year, $40 million deal with US-based Intermountain Healthcare.
The S&P/ASX All Technology Index snapped a three day losing streak with a 3 per cent gain.

Australian explorer Azure Minerals (ASX: AZS) has restarted drilling at its Andover nickel-copper project in Western Australia’s west Pilbara, with the accelerated program aiming to define the extent of the nickel-copper mineralisation and firm up a resource.
Work will transition from exploration to 30,000m of intensive drilling utilising three diamond rigs to define the extent of the VC-07 mineralised body and incorporate infill drilling to produce a maiden JORC resource estimate.
Initial drilling will target along-strike, up-dip and down-dip extents of the mineralisation, and will be followed by close-spaced infill drilling to assess internal continuity and variability.
The rigs will also be used to test 12 separate electromagnetic conductor anomalies including the prospective VC-23 conductor first drilled in 2018 by resource-focused investment vehicle Creasy Group.

Across Asia, China shares fell on Thursday, dragged lower by consumer firms as investors continued to take profits after the country’s blue-chip index touched a 13-year closing high earlier this week.
At the midday break, the Shanghai Composite index was down 0.29% at 3,588.28. China’s blue-chip CSI300 index eased 1.08%, with the consumer staples sector slipping 1.85%, followed by healthcare and its financial sectors down 0.89% and 0.78%, respectively.
The drop in consumer firms was led by distiller Wuliangye Yibin Co Ltd, which fell 3.89%. Wuliangye’s shares touched a record high last week after surging more than 119% in 2020.
Investor sentiment has also been shaken this week as rising cases of COVID-19 prompted lockdowns of three cities in Hebei province, which surrounds Beijing.
