Across markets…
This Afternoon, Australian shares are poised to open higher, bolstered by yet further records on Wall Street and a resurgent iron ore spot price.
Elsewhere, the VIX touched its lowest since February; gold tumbled below $US1800 an ounce; oil topped $US48 a barrel. And yes, Tesla rose still higher.
ASX futures were up 39 points or 0.6 per cent to 6642. The S&P/ASX 200 is on track for its best month since 1988.

Shares on Wall Street closed out their week on a positive note with both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq resetting records in a short – and thinly traded – session. The Dow advanced 0.1 per cent, the S&P 500 gained 0.2 per cent and the Nasdaq finished up 0.9 per cent.

Azure Minerals (ASX: AZS) has confirmed nickel-copper mineralisation at its 60% owned Andover project now extends at depth and remains open.
The company revealed its most recent hole (number six) at the project intercepted a 53.6m-wide zone containing “significant” intervals of nickel-copper sulphides, including several zones of massive and semi-massive sulphides.
This hole was undertaken 53m below and down dip from similar mineralisation uncovered in hole number four.
Additionally, Azure noted the sulphide mineralisation in this latest hole was at the depth predicted from geophysical modelling and the fixed loop electromagnetic survey.

Across Asia, China’s blue-chip index scaled a near 5-1/2-year high on Monday, led by gains in traditional industries, as upbeat factory activity data showed continued recovery in the world’s second-largest economy amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The CSI300 index rose 1.3% to 5,045.01 points, its highest since June 18, 2015, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.1% to 3,444.84 points.
Leading the gains, the Shanghai SE50 index, which tracks the 50 most representative traditional stocks on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, climbed as much as 2% to its highest since February 2008.
China’s factory activity expanded at the fastest pace in more than three years in November, while growth in the services sector also hit a multi-year high, as the country’s economic recovery from the coronavirus stepped up.
