All eyes will be on US inflation figures out tonight to give us a “gage” if rising rates are slowing the “inflation saga.”
The biggest concern is China – which has stranded literally 1/5th of the worlds cargo ships in Shanghai and they can’t move due to COVID protocols.
Ridiculous, right?
Once this back-log opens up, this is where the re-rate is driven from, combined with further stimulus.

Australian shares are poised to open lower as an earlier rally in New York opened the door to more selling.
Shares were whipsawed on Wall Street throughout the session with the Dow trading in a more than 850 point range from its intraday early high to its midday low.
The Dow surged more than 500 points in the first 10 minutes, before sliding more than 850 points by midday. By 2pm it had recovered some 500 points and then momentum faded. It ended down 85 points.
ASX futures were down 9 points or 0.1 per cent to 7013 near 6.10am AEST; it has swung in a 100 point range so far overnight. On Tuesday, the S&P/ASX 200 Index dropped 69.5 points or 1 per cent to 7051.2 points.

Far East Gold has consultants Mining One back on board to lead a new scoping study at its massive 1.15Moz Wonogiri project in Indonesia.
Amid historically high gold and copper prices, the project and its 1.15Moz gold equivalent Randu Kuning copper-gold deposit in south central Java was last picked apart by Augur Resources more than eight years ago – back when copper and gold were literally being given away at just US$5500/t and US$1350/oz respectively.
Those days are well behind, with the twin commodities coming to play differing but highly central roles in the new global economy.
Copper has surged to be trading at around US$9400/t and the safe haven yellow metal pays more than US$1850/oz, although both are thought to have enormous upside still in both volatile and transitioning markets.
