This morning, the S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES-U3) are trading higher by 4.50 points to 1675.75 per contract. Later today, the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will be questioned by several members of the U.S. Senate. We shall see if there are any questions asked by the politicians that can rattle the most powerful man in the world. Yesterday, the chairman handled the questions from Congress with ease. In fact, most of the questions by Congress were actually praises and pleading for Chairman Bernanke to stay on board. So if today is anything like yesterday the stock markets could hold up fine during the testimony. Simply put, Ben Bernanke is too smart for the politicians in power.
