10am: David Dube of Polaris Trading Group (PTG) Classic Trading Techniques. David will discuss a trading technique that dates back to the 1940’s. The “technique” is a short-term, 3 Day Method to trade the inherently choppy nature of the markets. The easiest way to understand Taylor’s “structure” of the 3 Day Cycle is to adopt his view that the markets are being driven and manipulated by “Smart Money”. His core premise was that the market is manipulated in stages which repeat over and over.

David Wienke
David Wienke has over 25 years experience in the futures and securities markets in various capacities including brokerage, trading and research. Over the years Dave has used technical analysis to cover some of the largest hedge funds, banks, pensions, and asset managers in the world. His methodology incorporates Fibonacci levels, moving averages, trend lines and momentum indicators in a concise, easy to grasp format. Pattern analysis emphasizes inter and intramarket influencers.

David Dube is a thirty-year trading veteran of investment banks, such as Lehman Brothers, UBS Investment Bank and various High Frequency Hedge Funds.David’s interests outside trading include golf and aerobatic flying. He sees direct competitive correlations between these activities and trading.
