S&P 500 Futures: #ES Up 7 Weeks In A Row

On Monday nights Globex session, the S&P 500 futures (ESH19:CME) printed a high of 2728.25, a low of 2716.25, and opened Tuesday’s regular trading hours at 2728.00. The morning low print was at 2726.75 right after the bell, and the morning high came in at 2737.00. The S&P’s traded 2730.50 on the 10:30 European close, and 2724.25 going into the noon hour.

The early afternoon saw a high of 2737.75 and a low of 2722.25, and in the final hour of the day the ES evened out, trading in the middle of the daily range. The futures traded 2735.00 on the 2:45 cash imbalance reveal, 2735.00 on the 3:00 cash close, and settled at 2731.25 on the 3:15 futures close, up 10 handles, or +0.36%.

In the end, the ES’s overall tone was firm. In terms of the days overall trade, volume was a little low, with 1.2 million futures contracts traded.
